Accident Register and Hours-of-Service Policy

49 CFR 390.5 (accident), 390.15, Part 395

Two records the auditor asks for on every audit. First, the accident register: a list of every accident (as the regulation defines it) for the past three years - it must exist even when it is blank. Second, hours-of-service: the auditor samples the past six months of records of duty status and their supporting documents against the driving limits. This document sets out the company's hours-of-service policy and the register.
